For race, it truly depends upon the tone you want to give towards your video game and at that volume of optimisation I do not think it truly matter. Rather think of a way to make the NPC persuasive without having rendering it seem too much like a snowflake. Except your team is into that and that is fine, i just personally find it a tad aggravating.
